The Health Policy Institute of Ohio, in partnership with the Ohio Alliance for Innovation in Population Health (OAIPH), invites you to attend a full-day conference focused on innovative, effective and sustainable approaches to financing population health strategies.

Experts will provide an overview of the current population health financing landscape, with specific presentations on social impact bonds, community development financial institutions and the evolution of payment reform models. Participants will learn about best practices from Ohio and other states.

Agenda

As a result of attending this conference, participants will be able to:

  • State key characteristics of population health strategies
  • Discuss innovative approaches to financing population health activities and advancing population health goals, including: 
    • Social Impact Bonds/ Pay for Success financing
    • Wellness trusts
    • Hospital community benefit
    • Community Development Financial Institutions and partnerships with other economic development and housing entities
    • Public-private partnerships (including business/employers and philanthropy) and blended and braided funding
    • Payment reform (global payment, ACOs) and Medicaid waivers
    • Tax policy (taxes and tax credits)
  •  Identify at least one innovative financing approach to support population health improvement activities in their local community or at the state level

 CLE credit:This course has been submitted to the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for CLE credit and approved for 5.25 continuing legal education hours. 

Social work CPE credit: The State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board approved 5.4 CPEs under Provider # RCS070803 for counselors and social workers.  The State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board requests participants not send these Certificates of Attendance to the Board unless the Board asks for them at license renewal time. Participants may not use the same workshop to satisfy renewal requirements for more than one license.

Nursing Contact Hours: Consortium for Health Education in Appalachia Ohio (CHEAO) is an approved provider by the Ohio Nurses Association an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
